Fish ‘N’ Chips

Fish ‘N’ Chips and marinefiends.com will be shutting down shortly.

At some point the National Geographic site changed the URLs for it’s photos of the day. I’ve gone back through all my previous posts on them and corrected all the URLs. Everything is working properly again.

If anyone notices any dead URLs in any of my posts, old or new, just make a comment to that post and let me know. I’ll do my best to correct the URL or at least disable it if it’s gone for good.

Anybody have any idea what happened to SeaScope? I used to love getting the latest copy at my local fish store and when I moved away, it was great when I found it online which is when I started letting my readers know about the latest issues. As you can see from the Instant Ocean site, there hasn’t been a new one posted since Fall 2007. I’ve searched around online but haven’t found anything newer. If anyone has any news, post a comment.

Today I started to post marine news in a new way. Each news article gets it’s own post, snagging the first sentence of the article as a teaser and then giving a link to read more or view the video, etc. I was never really happy with the old way, just a bunch of links all stacked together. This is a lot more work for me, so I hope you like it. Let me know.
